Luis Curvelo has performed roles and duties as lead engineer, designer and coordinator of electrical power systems for Oil&Gas, Petrochemical and Power EPC Projects. He has also been a lead coordinator and supervisor of electrical group in construction phase, pre-commissioning and commissioning for projects at site. During his role for over 8 years as an Electrical Engineer, he has worked and gained experience in load flow, short-circuit and motor starting studies; development of electrical equipment and material requisitions for MTO/BOM; design of: Electrical UG and AG raceways drawings, cable schedules, load lists, one-line diagrams, control schematics, lighting systems and hazardous area classification drawings and proficient in the use of CAD and Smartplant tools.
He has been requested to and succeeded in: MH estimates for basic and detailed engineering, conceptualization, product control table development and Construction packages development. Drawings review, discipline management and interdisciplinary coordination.
