Key Achievements

• Headed the re-engineering of the planning and forecasting model and conducted scenario and sensitivity analysis for splitting one of Canada’s largest energy companies into two distinct and independent organizations – Encana and Cenovus
• Orchestrated, designed, and implemented an integrated financial reporting system for Encana. The system saved the Finance teams 2 workdays per reporting cycle and reduced errors substantially
• Redesigned the P&L variance analysis tool and KPI for Encana. The improved process allowed delivery of insightful and timely business performance information to the executive team
• Authored, redesigned and launched the global capital governance framework for Talisman. The corporate framework was instrumental in standardizing the capital sanction process and economic evaluation methodology for capital investment across the global operations and was adopted worldwide
• Coached and advised Talisman’s North America Region on development of performance management tools to facilitate discussion and performance improvement
• Appointed as the secondee to Talisman’s Marcellus team in Pittsburgh. Key deliverables included providing competitive analysis of the shale play operators and creating in-depth weekly production profiles and trends
