Roles and Responsibilities
• Hand Experience of Steam & gas turbine driven compressor/Pumps
• Active & safe manner working in several major start up /Shut down & turnarounds.
• Safe emergency handling and normal operation of plant/facility
• Permit to work system & HSE policies compliance.
• Handling the emergency situations like process, power, utility, electrical, mechanical and instrument failure.
• Monitor all critical parameters and take corrective action.
• To maintain records/log books for the important field readings and jobs carried out.
• Coordinate and act faster in Plant emergencies.
• Maintain the highest safety standards by good housekeeping in the Plant.
• Maintaining the plant and machineries in good condition by following the look, listen, feel techniques.
• Co- operation and co-ordination with shift supervisors and Panel operators during normal startup, shutdown and emergency situations.
• Complete the shift log book containing comprehensive details of plant conditions, details of valid work permits, status of housekeeping, areas of concern and hand over the job to the incoming shift.
• Well experience in safety work permit system (cold work, hot work and vessel entry, electrical isolation, etc.)
• Well versed in the handling of fire fighting equipments & PPE’s
• H2S awareness
• Chemical handling, Product route up and safe shutdown and start up.
• Mock drills
