• Name: Industrial Training II.
• Place: Oman Oil Refineries and Petroleum Industries Company. (orpic) in Maintenance department, Sohar Refinery, Aromatics Oman LLC (AOL) and Oman Polypropylene (OPP) .
• Duration: six weeks.
• Curse taken: : Health and Safety environment (HSE) and H2S induction courses.
• Duties: Take general idea about refinery and chemical processes going in company . Also get familiarizing with mechanical equipment and doing corrective and protective maintenance.

Topic : Computational Performance Analysis of Abrasive-jet Perforating
via Coiled Tubing for Oil Well Completion

The abrasive jet perforating which has its origin in 1960s is being used from the last few years as a tool
for creating perforations through wellbore tubular, cement and into the formation . The sand jet
perforating uses a high velocity abrasive-laden fluid jet to cut through the casing, cement and deep into
the formation while extending cavity into reservoir . The sand jet perforating provides much deeper
penetration than the conventional one-shot explosive perforating along with cheaper, safer and better targeted
perforations.
The objective of the project :
-To design a computational model for abrasive jet perforating.
To carry out performance analysis under varying operating conditions.
