Johan has over fifteen years’ experience in Plant operations (DCS panel and production team lead) in the Oil and Gas industry. The last four years he gained experience in Construction and Commissioning Management on four projects.

Manage EPC/M & E & P contractors for various projects in Mozambique. Projects include:
Permanent Pig traps and pigging
WP2 numerous modifications on the plant
LP Compression (value $140 million)
Electrical and super heater expansion ($60 million)
Construction camp management
PSA early works feasibility study and execution ($150 million)
Operation and Readiness assurance management
The different engineering houses and EPCM’s dealt with where:
Amec Foster Wheeler, Uhde, Petrofac, Genesis and Fluor

March 2003 – August 2011
Sasol Petroleum International – Temane Mozambique
Commissioned CPF Temane as operations representative
Operated and trained locals on different areas on plant (utilities, inlet facilities, liquid stabilisation, storage and loading, gas conditioning, gas compression, metering and export) ($300 million)
Worked and trained locals on DCS Panel (2 years)
Acted as shift leader since 2006 and was appointed in 2010
Shutdown and start-up planning
Pande Gas field development (wells and flowlines)

183 expansion project: ($300 million)
Represent operations.
Project included:
Writing of operations procedures
2 years Spares management
Equipment installed:
Incinerator, MBR Sewage plant, Camp sewage, Slug Catcher, Moisture Control (Esher), Dew point control (Grenco), HP Compression (MAN) and re-wheel of existing, HP/LP Flare.
As a team we also received star awards for this project.

Began career at Sasol as trainee operator
Managed to go through training modules and got three promotions within the first year.
Acted as senior process controller
Work included planning logistics to supply numerous chemicals and gasses to clients, rail and road dispatch, order supplies from different plants.
