Looking for an oilfield position as a directional driller
Professional Experience
11 years operational experience in the oil field with Halliburton / Sperry Drilling Services. 5 years of measurement while drilling, and 6 years as a Directional driller in Yemen, Algeria, and Libya. Worked as a directional drilling supervisor for one year to provide a direct instructions & supervision to Sperry directional crew and provide a technical support to the clients. My key responsibilities in the drilling operations include:
• Drill 17 1/2", 12 1/4", 8 1/2", 6" Horizontal, S-type, Slant, and Vertical hole wells
• Drill long and medium radius wells
• All kinds of sidetrack – cement plug, Whipstocks, open hole, blind sidetrack
• Multi lateral wells – open hole sidetrack
• Re-entry wells with Whipstock
• Kick-offs the well using Gyro single/multi shot and MWD tools, and blind kick offs
• Running motors, rotary assembly BHA, and AGS tools
• BHA design & analysis, Torque & Drag modelling, and Hydraulics calculations
• Create and execute well plans and landing of horizontal wells in the field
• Anti collision monitoring and calculations to avoid collision between adjacent wells
• Interpret designed well plans & directional surveys
• Projection of wellpath to pre-determine target coordinates
• Running Compass software to perform survey calculations and well path projections

• Liaise with onsite client representatives, rig crew, and field support staff
• Maintain a complete inventory listing of all directional tools and survey equipment on location
• Prepare job ticket & directional drilling report on a daily basis
• Prepare and deliver end-of-well reports at the end of each job
• Complies with Quality, Safety, Environmental Policy and Regulations
