I work as a Chemist. My work duties include the following:
• Operate, maintain, calibrate ICP-OES (PE -Optima4200, 5300V, 8300 DV), Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS), Ion Chromatography (Dionix ICS-2100) and Gas Chromtaography (PE Clarus 500, 580)
• Routine testing of customer samples according to approved procedures (IC, SP, GC, KF, FTIR, VIS, DISTILLATION,etc.....)
• Manage analysis to meet deadlines and timelines set out in production schedule
• Perform all duties in accordance with QA/QC protocols and SOP's
• Excellent understanding and implementation of ISO 17025
• Ensuring all working copies of documents are stored appropriately and that no unauthorized changes to the document are made after validation
• Interpreted data and reported scientific results
• Developed new analytical techniques for the analysis of oils, lubricants, coolants and fuels.
2-ABLICO (Cairo, Egypt) 2009-2011
I was working as a quality control Chemist. My work duties includes the following:
• Perform inspection and test on raw materials, work in-process, and finished goods by gathering materials necessary for testing and maintaining retention samples
• Maintain inspection and test records
• Enter quality data, respond to points out of specification, collect supporting data, coordinate investigation and ensure proper documentation is followed
• Maintain metrology tools for capability and stability including calibrate inspection and test equipment/records and conduct capability and long term stability studies
• Assist and participate in root cause investigation for internal and external complaints
• Conduct analytical testing when necessary as part of inspection and customer complaint investigation
• Create reports to submit to customer and/or management team
• Assist in quality, production, or R&D studies as needed
• Investigate new ideas to improve quality, maintain or reduce costs, while increasing output
• Create/update work instructions and procedures pertaining to Quality
• Manage and maintain customer reports, when applicable
