Environmental Specialist at INTEGRAL-Consult (Part-Time) in Doha, Qatar. Providing expert assessment and advisory services for clients on matters pertaining to the management of environmental issues (Water and Energy Management, Waste Management, Air Quality, Noise Modelling, Environmental Impact Assessment,…)
- Design and implement efficient systems and processes to mitigate current and future environmental damage;
- Conduct field surveys: collecting and interpreting data to establish a baseline condition using software-modelling packages to identify accordance to the country standards;
- Evaluating green building projects in accordance to the Global Sustainability Assessment System (GSAS) applied in Qatar and the Gulf region.

January, 2014 – Current
Research Assistant Engineer at Qatar University (Full-Time), working on “Qatar Power System Transition to Smart Grid” Project in Doha, Qatar.
- Conduct research on renewable and distributed energy systems and their integration with electrical power system in Qatar, performing real-time simulation studies using the software PSSE, and investigating the impact of controls on electrical distribution system performance such as voltage regulation;
- Identify energy policies, regulatory framework and energy strategy that Qatar needs to address for a successful energy efficiency and renewable energy projects implementation;
- Develop a cost benefit analysis methodology that takes into account assets, Smart Grid principal characteristics, technologies and functions;
- Conduct surveys related to public acceptance to renewable energies, energy efficiency measures and smart grid applications;

February - October, 2013

- Assisting with creating a business plan for the sub-marine cable of the TuNur project linking between Tunisia and Italy;
- Developing business plans for different PV projects in Tunisia;
- Collecting data and developing a technical and economic model for the interconnection between Tunisia and Italy.
