Professional Experience
Duties Include – As a first class marine engineer at sea my duties varied vastly from ship protection to maintenance of on-board electrical and mechanical systems. I was trained to react accordingly to fire, flood and attack scenarios on a daily basis in a leading or subordinate role. I gained an in-depth knowledge of all systems on-board as a qualified ‘watch keeper’. This position entailed immense responsibility for the correct operation and monitoring of essential ships equipment, while recording various readings in the ships log book.
Eductation
• NVQ Level 2 Certificate in Engineering – Maintenance Technology.
• Engineering Technician Initial Career Course submarines. (Construction and safe operation of main and auxiliary machinery / systems. Correct maintenance procedures for mechanical and electrical equipment.)
Additional Information
My practical experience in the Marine Engineering sector albeit limited to Her Majesties Fleet is extensive in its variety. Discipline, punctuality and polished appearance are personal attributes I have proudly learned in the Royal Navy and always practise in a professional environment. I have always been comfortable in the company of my peers and endeavour at all times to glean knowledge from those with more experience than myself. I am fit, healthy, happy and look forward to starting my new job.
