Professional Experience
Brief Description of Duties:-
Responsible for the delivery of 14 Pre-Assembled Units for the Shell/Kvaerner Nyhamna Gas Expansion Project in Norway.
This role involved Implementing work scope from design to fabrication through to Mechanical Completion & Sailaway, including Interface coordination between the Construction and Project Departments, which included but not limited to Engineering, Drawing Office, Planning, Materials, DCC, Commercial, Compliance, MIPS, Production Control and the Mechanical Completions Department.
Key Duties included:
•Trouble shooting any issues within the Project Team to ensure that the Schedule is maintained or beaten in line with the minimum cost.
•Working directly with the Area Construction Coordinator and liaising closely with the other Area Project Engineers with the “best for Project” philosophy.
•Undertaking role with minimum supervision
•Identifying/capturing change
•Producing progress reports as required.
•Chairing meetings / preparing minutes of meeting
•Reviewing deliverables status and advising on schedule impact if there are issues
•Monitoring/tracking deliverables, creating/maintaining tracking tools to suit
•Monitoring productivity / schedule / manpower levels
•Liaising with Commercial, Procurement and Planning Departments
•Establishing delivery recovery solutions
•Attending meetings with client
•Able to work under pressure
•Planning delivery of drawings and documentation in compliance with the project programme.
•Reporting of progress, project difficulties and delays in a timely manner
•Ensuring project deliverables output is in accordance with relevant applicable Legislation, Codes of Practice, Standards, client scope of work, and Client/Internal procedures
•Interfacing effectively with the client (as required), other engineering disciplines, construction and any other internal and third parties
•Good knowledge of industry codes of practice and standards
•Communicate within a multi discipline team environment.
Eductation
BEng (Hon’s) Chemical Engineering
A Levels Design Technology, ICT, AS Level Law, Chemistry.
10 GCSE passes at grades A-C
