• Communication with incoming vessel, with vessel in port limits by manning port control room keeping watch on VHF, VHF, Radar, AIS etc.
• Recording/maintaining Log Book – Communication Log Book, Weather Log Book, And Fax In//Out, Handing Over Log Book, Navigational Buoys and Light Log Book.
• Maintaining port database and ships records.
• Liaisoning with Pilot, Harbor Master, Agents & Surveyors for smooth arrival/departure formalities of Vessel.
• Berthing/Unberthing of Vessel, and maintaining of record of all operation.
• Maintaining records of Fuel and water supply to Tugs and other crafts – Month wise
• Preparing vessels report, for Maritime Board and Top Management, Report showing the status of Port & Vessels.
• Collecting the information of vessels due at Port e.q. her ETA at anchorage, type of cargo, stowage plan, crew list, PANS (Pre – Arrival Notification of Security), etc., and informing the same to the Port authorities, Harbour Master, Pilot & other concerned officials.
• Taking particulars of Vessel after arrival at Anchorage e.q. her arrival draft, free board, LOA, Port of registry, DWT, Bow / Stern thruster, type of propeller, etc, informing the same to the Harbour Master & Pilots.
• Pre-Planning of Berthing & Un-berthing of the vessel with Harbour Master and Operation Team.
• Fully aware of documentation carried out before/after Loading/Unloading of Vessels.
• Monitoring of safe water for navigation in channel and in berth pocket by carrying out periodically bathymetric survey.
• Sound knowledge in maintenance dredging and its planning without hampering vessels movements in channel and at berths.
• Operational and handling knowledge in Containers, Fertilizer, Bulk Cargo.
• Supervising of mooring operation of vessels calling at port.
• Achieve high customer’s satisfaction level by maintaining good safety practice.
• Monitoring weather Reports, tide heights, and informed the ships, port tugs, and staffs and directed them for quick remedial actions under the scrutiny of Head of Dept.
• Preparation of Berth Turn around & Berth occupancy Reports.
• Preparation of Pre berthing delay reports & analyze it how to reduce delays of vessels calling at Port.
• Preparation of GRT Reports of vessels calling at Port.
• Actively participating in all kind of Safety Training.

• HSC PASS CLASS (with Science stream)from Gujarat higher secondary board Gandhinagar.
• BA (With English) FIRST CLASS From Saurashtra University.

• Master User of MARINE Terminal Operating System for marine operation at Pipavav
