Professional Experience
Statutory reporting:
-Preparation of annual and interim financial statements in compliance with IFRSs and other regulatory requirements.
-Preparation of Concession wise accounts for submission to Directorate General Petroleum Concession
-Preparation of schedules/reconciliations in support to the financial statements.
-Preparing schedules/workings of provision for decommissioning cost, amortization of development and production assets and reconciliation of intangible assets.
-Review of tax workings/computations in accordance with Fifth Schedule of Income Tax Ordinance, deferred taxation working as per IASs and tax treatments as per Petroleum Concession Agreements.
-Monthly review of General ledger, departmental cost, classification of cost and reasons of variations.
-Recognition, measurement and disclosures as per IFRSs for specialized industrial Oil and Gas assets.
-Compliance with the code of corporate governance, public sector companies rules.
-Response to government, senate and national assembly questions/queries relating to the Company’s financial statements.
-Monthly review of drilling cost, projects in progress, intangibles and exploration and evaluation assets
Coordination:
-Regular coordination with Company’s statutory auditors, government auditors & internal audit department of the Company to ensure successful conduct of statutory audits, interim reviews and other assignments.
-Coordination with production, exploration, drilling and other departments of the Company for compilation of information.
-Attending meetings regarding technical statuses of exploration activities and treatment of cost accordingly.
-Preparation of information required by investors and governing bodies as and when required.
Management reporting:
-Preparation of variance analysis of Company’s operational and financial results on quarterly basis for the management and Board of Directors.
-Review of Director’s Report and Executive Summary of financial and operating performance for the Board of Directors
-Preparation of ratios, horizontal and vertical analysis for incorporation in annual report
-Review and financial analysis of non-performing fields locations with recommendations to the management to overcome operating losses.
