Professional Experience
To be involved in process designing, P&ID management, detail engineering follow up as client engineer and to work on simulations
To create the process design basis and basic engineering design data
To develop Basic Engineering Packages for Technology developed by R&D
Ensure Process Safety compliance during the preparation of basic engineering package by in-house or by licensor
To develop standards and procedures, work practices and keep these updated
To do modeling of processes to fit plant data, optimization and revamping of process plants; preparing reports, flow diagrams and charts
To work in the area of process control
To guide Design Engineers in process design
Interacting with R&D and analyzing the lab & pilot plant data for commercial scale-up
Interacting with vendors and metallurgist for selection of right equipments
Working with project team to finalize the equipment lay-out and plot plan
Travelling to Site, R&D centre to monitor the tests and to vendor offices to firm up the process scheme with their design team
Create Process design basis for new projects which are in line with Reliance quality and reliability standards
Effectively Use the software tools for process design and engineering
Development of Basic Engineering packages for in-house technologies and open art technologies including the revamp of process plants
Design of optimum flow scheme for process plant based on value engineering exercise and operating and maintenance ease
Be part of Technical Audits of selected basic engineering packages
Conduct Technical audit of DECs on regular basis as a part of Corporate Audit program.

Good Knowledge of Process Design and Process Engineering
Awareness of nuances of hydraulics creation
Must have experience of preparation of PFD, MSD,P&IDs
Creation of datasheet of vessels, pumps, heat exchangers,PSVs
Simulation softwares, Aspen, Unisim, flarenet, pipenet and other process engineering softwares
Standard work processes, best industry practices and trends
Safety rules and standards
Quality control procedures
Interface with different departments (projects, piping, Mechanical, Rotary, CTS)
