Senior Procurement Manager on major EPC Project

25+ years experience in the Oil and Gas, Petro-Chemical, Construction and Heavy Engineering industries working on a wide range of projects, both on and offshore including 20+ years in Senior Procurement Management positions both office and site based in the UK and overseas.

Project experience includes Consultancy, Feasibility Studies, FEED, E&P, EPCm, Reimbursable, PMC and Technology Licensor Management.

Expertise covers worldwide strategic and operational procurement of high value complex capital equipment, bulk materials, services and works, subcontracts, indirect procurement, field and desk expediting, materials management, inspection co-ordination and logistics. Extensive experience of working in Europe, Eastern Europe, the Former Soviet States, Asia, North America and the Middle East.

Considerable experience of developing procurement strategies, framework agreements, global sourcing, managing budgets, negotiating cost reductions, ensuring schedule adherence from suppliers and leading improvement initiatives. Proven ability to successfully build and lead teams within multi-cultural project environments.

An effective negotiator and firm decision maker, strategically, contractually and commercially aware with considerable supply chain and project management experience
