I am writing to apply for a Motorman, Assistant mechanic, Roughneck, Deckforeman or Roustabout position on an oil rig. I have attached my CV for your consideration.
I am a qualified Fitter and Turner with a passion for engineering. I am fascinated by oil rigs and the work they do. Therefore I would like to be part of the team.
My relevant skills and experience would make me a good candidate for this job for I am mechanically minded and have good technical knowledge, gained from working in various workshops.
I have 5 years experience in the engineering and manufacturing industry, and worked for 2 motorcycle dealerships, performing mechanic duties as well as working on petrol and diesel vehicles in a service and repair workshop.
I am applying for these Technical positions, as I believe it suits me, and my experience. This would be a good platform to gain experience and get more familiar with an oil rig , to later for full a role in a Senior position.
I have salesman experience where I gained people skills. I pay attention to detail and personal housekeeping. I am very happy to work in a team, but do deliver good results as an individual as well.
