Career Objective
Geology, coring, mudlogging, wireline logs, LWD, MWD, directional drilling and geosteering
Professional Experience
Geology: Experienced in a wide range of geological environments and their equivalent geological age of Abu Dhabi area including; Asmari, Dammam, Rus, Umm Er Radhuma, Simsima, Fiqa, Halul, Laffan, Mishrif, Salb Shil/ Shilaif, Nahr Umr, Thammama Group, Hith, Arab A,B,C & D, Diyab/ Hanifa, Upper Araej, Uweinat, Lower Araej, Izhara, Hamlah, Gulailah, Sudair and Kuff formations.
Core and Cuttings description: preparation, hydrocarbon shows detection methods and examination of cuttings & slide samples using reflective and polarizing microscopes. Use of Calcimetry, porosity and permeability laboratory measurements from plugs. Preparation of thin sections for petrography and palynological studies. Selection of sampling regimes for cuttings, biostratigraphic, gas and chemical analysis.
Wireline logging: calibration, operational testing and running of a wide range of wireline logging tools. Interpretation of a wide range of log types. Log correlation for field development, input for well planning, and the execution of ongoing well programs.
Drilling program: my experience as operations geologist has made me very familiar with the wellsite drilling, and well control operations and can therefore pin point the advice needed for the selection of drilling bit, ROP and idealizing of drilling fluids. Also familiar with the selection and confirmation of casing points, formation tops and core points as well as well monitoring while drilling.
Coring: detailed knowledge and experience with all aspects of the coring operation.
Geological data: familiar with the preparation of final/composite logs and lithological logs, daily reports and final well reports. In addition to the analysis and update of maps and cross sections.
Surface logging: familiar with the duties, and operating procedures of a surface logging contractor.
MWD, LWD and Directional drilling: have a good idea of the operations, the related technical aspects and the use of the acquired data in well monitoring, formation tops, casing points, coring point and planning for the horizontal drains (wells).

Additional Information
I am an enthusiastic, hardworking, highly organized, fast learning and service quality oriented individual in an intermediate career level, continuously looking for a chance to develop and prove myself as a professional geoscientist in the global petroleum industry.
My diverse scientific background has guided my career towards oilfield as operations geologist. My experience with Abu Dhabi Marine Operating Company (ADMA-OPCO) involved hands on experience on many formation evaluation techniques available in the industry, well planning and monitoring, geosteering, mud logging, open and cased hole logs and supervision of coring jobs as well.
The B.Sc. I hold was conducted by courses, field work and laboratory experiments is dedicated to provide advanced training in the field of petroleum exploration and in petroleum geoscience research. The course requirements were set to develop familiarity with exploration geology, exploration tools, exploration techniques, reservoir and petroleum system, source of sediments based on heavy minerals studies, vertical and horizontal profiles based on sharp changes in facies vertically and horizontal discontinuity and age of sediments based on the palynological studies. My B.Sc. Thesis was titled as Detailed Geology, Sedimentological and Palynological of Atbara- Shendi Basin, North Central Sudan.
