SUMMARY
Mechanical Project Manager with 25 years’ experience in the development of activities from engineering to coordination and construction of multidisciplinary projects. Extensive technical experience in estimation, design, specification, sizing and selection of equipment (motors, compressors, pumps, heaters, cooling towers, insulation), piping, plumbing, valves, industrial / residential buildings, air conditioning “HVAC”, fire protection, utilities (water, sewage, air, drain), packages and modular skids. Prepared tenders and estimates including costing, material quantities, equipment rates, manpower of small new concrete homes and building renovations of small value.
Manage, coordinate and interact with owner, client, contractors, construction team and stakeholders (vendors, consultants, inspectors, QA/QC). Worked in construction, HAZOPs, 3D model / design / constructability reviews, quality, promote HSE, risks, commercial activities, procurement, contracts, changes “MoC”, RFIs, produce reports, expediting, major costs, interpersonal communications, consulting, negotiation, commissioning and start-up.
Leadership in conceptual, FEED, detailed engineering, installation and construction of EPCM projects. Prepare, review, approve and track deliverables (scope of work development, DBM, specifications, datasheets, requisitions/POs, studies, calculations (thermal loads, duct size), evaluations, take-offs, prepared layouts, as-built, materials selection), Vendor’s documentation, drawings, manufacturing and test procedures. Schedules, cost estimates, budget, proposals / bids, planning, managed project resources, inter-discipline coordination and standardization. Perform departmental duties and support multiple projects.
Problem solving and technical support to manufacturing and construction. Lead, interact and review multidisciplinary project’s work of engineers (control, electrical, civil) and operational staff (quality, assembly, inspection & testing), resolve discrepancies and recommend solutions. Staffing management, supervision, estimation, control and reports. Manage team workload, train and guide designers, engineers and graduated engineers, inter-discipline checks, prepared key performance indicators. Meet client needs, tight deadlines and deliver multiple projects on logical schedule, budget and cost. Regularly meet with team / client / vendors.

25 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry, including refineries, pipelines, petrochemical, building services and power plants, in Saudi Arabia, Venezuela, Colombia and Canada.

My experience includes EPCM multi-disciplinary development of projects. Familiar with lead mechanical engineering (equipment and piping), construction supervision and project management.
