Project engineer

Leading the Project

Plan, directs, and coordinates, through supervisory personnel, activities of track maintenance crews.
 Analyze engineering data and inspects repair site to define priority of proposed track repair maintenance projects.
 Carries out the drafting requirements for new or existing projects. Assistance with obtaining customer approval on our drawings.
 Determine frequency of track use and project costs, utilizing computerized data and knowledge of operations maintenance expense to formulate recommendations for revising established project priorities.
 Coordinate with and consult other workers to design, layout, or detail components and systems and to resolve design or other problems.
Assisting the purchase manager in sourcing raw materials and negotiating for the profitability of the organization.
 Direct engineering supervisors to correct substandard repairs and Identifies opportunities and implements actions to achieve efficiency.
Generate reports to analyze data and develop corrective actions plans when required
 Managing the inventory and providing reports to the management and forecast on
purchase.
 Preparing the reports on the status of ordered parts. Regular Follow-up on Backordered parts
from Principals and Negotiating with Dealers and Logistics.
 Extracting pending back order reports and checking for the non-availability of materials and
parts for processing the request & then circulating to service branches for their follow-up and
action.
 Determines quality improvement parameters by identifying statistical methods relevant to
manufacturing processes.
 Assisting in the Advanced Product Quality Planning activities to determine appropriate use of
existing and new measurement systems during new tool or process design and startup.
 Applying mechanical, thermodynamic, pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical principles to
resolve engineering problems and find appropriate solutions
