safety/process Engineer

Being experienced engineer, deeply eager my to develop better knowledge in my career, Where my objectives are to share what I have learned with others, act as a Safety/production engineer, will make a difference, and creating more experiences.

Qatar Chemical Company is a world-class integrated petrochemical plant between Qatar Petroleum & (CPChem) Chevron Phillips chemicals, producing high-density and medium-density polyethylene with capacity of 800,000 MTA.
Duties & competencies:
- Workplace safety management: ensure that the Safety & well-being of employees, contractors, and others are always the first consideration on cost, production, quality, and productivity.
- Process safety management
- Following HSE procedures (ground disturbance, lifting, confined space entry, etc) as required.
- Ensure day-to-day work is performed effectively, efficiently, and safely in order to comply with Operational Excellence.
- Make sure that near misses / incidents are reported and participate in incident investigation as required.
- Toolbox meetings: to discuss about plant conditions and updates, prioritize task during shift.
- Preparing JSA: To ensure all hazards associated with any job are proactively identified before starting a job, and to ensure suitable/sufficient controls are put in place to eliminate or minimize risk to an acceptable level.
- Ensure Operational Discipline: by ensuring all workplace and process safety procedures and practices are understood and implemented in order to avoid potential WPS and PSM incidents occurring.
- Preparing PTW: according to job category and breakthrough job steps, initiate with the lead worker hazard identifications then mitigation to comply with WPS & PSM for operational excellence.
- Carrying out risk assessments and considering how risks could be reduced.
- Outlining safe operational procedures which identify and take account of all relevant hazards
- Carrying out regular site inspections to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented for active permits.
- Making changes to working practices that are safe and comply with legislation.
- Provide troubleshooting of process problems.
- Review SOPs and update it according to safest and optimum operating condition.
