MWD/LWD Field Engineer
 R/U and R/D of MWD equipment, assembling, programming and testing and
‘Tensor’ tools for downhole. Maintaining tool run records, end of run
summaries, end of well reports, survey reports, LAS files, etc.
 Providing on-site supervision of the Logging While Drilling (LWD) process.
Properly testing all tools and equipment before, during and after each job.
 Ensures that all data presented to the customer is accurate, timely and meets the
highest service quality standard possible.
 Survey calculations, log generation, basic geosteering services and data quality
control.
 Assists in the evaluation of individual performance levels of onsite LWD
personnel.
 Assists in the training and development of junior personnel
 Fosters teamwork among all personnel involved in the performance of the
work.
 Ability to read and interpret formation well logs and interpret directional
survey information and other well site data.
 Providing technical consultation to clients including mud hydraulics, Bottom
Hole Assembly (BHA) planning, formation evaluation, drilling tendencies, the
mud system and BHA dynamics.
 Keeping track of formation data, (resistivity, gamma, directional surveys,
temperature, depth, flow rate, rpms), generated via our tools.
 Performing all Standard Operation Procedures.
 Utilized Hailan, GE, Tartan and Halliburton MWD systems.
 Multi Shot, Vertical Wells.
 Breaking down and rebuilding positive pulsers, Testing them for the
performance of the next run.
 Gamma and Resistivity log Plotting.
Directional Driller 2012 to 2015
providing on-site supervision of the Directional Drilling (DD) process
including projection of well path to predetermined target coordinates.
 Proficient in the use of DD computer software and able to assist in provision of
advice and analysis to the client
 Assisting in the completion of a daily DD report, BHA performance report for
each BHA run, completion of all service tickets and relevant paperwork (well
data spreadsheet, lesson learned/best practice, End of Job Customer Survey
(EJCS).
