Carrying out day-to-day job surveillance and the Inspection activities as per approved QAPs and relevant standards.
Interpretation of Drawings & Specifications.
To check out defects in welding (SAW, MIG TIG, Gas Welding & Electrode Welding) by LPT Test, Magnetic Particles Test, Ultrasonic Test, Radiographic Test.
Documents Review: welding procedure specification (WPS & PQR) as per applicable code.
Preparation of Quality Assurance Plans.
Preparation of WPS (Welding Procedure Specifications).
Conducting Procedure Qualification and Welder Qualification Test.
Fit-up and visual inspection of all welding works from prefabrication to field installation.
Inspection of all welding activities prior, during, and after welding which include material check, qualification and welding equipments.
Inspection of piping spools, P& Id preparation and verification at site, As built drawing etc
Making all the quality reports like welders performance report and NDT report as per client specification.
To check with overall manufacturing schedule (when the materials are required to meet the agreed delivery date).
Plan & agree with vendors to expedite the ordered materials.
Check the balance activities to be completed & lead time required to meet the agreed delivery date based on resources availability
Physically verify manufacturing progress- their system of reporting- check how they are controlling schedule- try to get their internal status.
