Onshore Rig Mechanic

Looking for an oil rig mechanic position to manage the daily drilling operation at oil rigs using my pumping equipment repair and maintenance skills.

As a Sr.Mechanic in John Energy Ltd. Drilling Rig on #JEL 20 Top Drive System, #J14 SCR System, #J12 #19 (Tesco Top Drive System) with deferent project at Gujarat, Rajasthan under ONGCL, CAIRN INDIA.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Following instruction of Chief Mechanic as per maintenance schedule and Break down activities. Diagnosing, repair, installing and maintaining drilling rig equipment. Parts as related to draw works, mud pump, diesel engine and all other related and major equipment to ensure continued operation at drilling site and Participating in the mechanical and repair of all engine and equipment on assigned rig covering diesel engine, air compressors, pump, draw work & B.O.P , Services. Diagnoses faults, diverts and carry out necessary repairs liaising with maintenance planning and scheduling the preventive maintenance program also installing, aligning, assembling or dismantling, cleaning, lubricating, moving, troubleshooting, inspecting, examining, maintenance, adjusting and repairing or replacing defective parts of power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic and pneumatic system. Operating hosting and lifting devices such as crane fork lift to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up and repair of machinery.
MECHANICAL MAINTENANCE FOR ALL EQUIPMENTS ON RIG:
DRILLING EQUIPMENT
Maintains and repairs draw works and associated components.
Maintains and repairs rotary table, rotary transmissions, and associated components.
Maintains and repairs mechanical components of Elmagco (auxiliary draw works) brake.
Maintains and repairs hydraulic drill string torque system (E-Z torque).
Maintains and repairs hydraulic power tongs.
Maintains and repairs wire line hydraulic winch.
Maintains and repairs swivel.
Maintains and repairs well control and other equipment as may be assigned by the Rig Superintendent.
Repairs hydraulic load cells.
Caterpillar engines as D-397,D-398,D-399,3512, 3412, C-13,15,18,
Cummins NTA-855, 743, 495, 6BTA,
Ashok Leyland 370, 410, Diesel engine.
Detroit-A l2-cylinder I200 hp.
Diesel engine. Hydril , Shaffer,
Good Knowledge of Electrical Equipments & Drilling Operations.
Ability to carry out Major Overhaul of Drilling Equipments like Drawworks, Mud Pumps, Rotary, Crown Block, Travelling Block, Top Drive, Dead Line Anchors etc .

Senior Secondary passed with Gujarat Board in 2002
Higher Secondary Passed with Gujarat Board in 2005
I.T.I. Diesel Mechanic Passed with N.C.V.T. Board in 2006
Bachelor of Arts ( Degree) Passed with Gujarat State Board in 2007
