Piping Engineer

 Familiar with various Manufacturing, fabrication and welding processes for pipes and its components.
 Familiar with Centrifugal pumps, positive displacement pumps, gear pumps and screw pumps and
their maintenance with accordance to their specifications.
 Manufacturing and fabrication process of heat exchangers according to their specifications.
 Familiar with the principles involved in Liquid Penetrant Testing, Magnetic Particle Testing,
Ultrasonic Testing, Radiographic Testing, Radiographic Film Interpretation and Visual Testing.
 Trained in Cad soft wares in order to design as per ASME Y 14.5and run stress analysis review as
per requirement.
 Capable of preparing documentation such as Bill of Materials.
 Knowledge in Equipment Layout Design for Safety, Operability, Maintainability, Future Scope and
Cost, Human Factor Engineering (HFE), Orientation based on environmental data, area and
equipment separation
 Trained in calibration and testing of various flow meters and control valves.
 Extensive knowledge in Solid Mechanics and Metallurgical Materials.  Familiar with ASME, API, BS, IS codes & their use in design, analysis and calculation.  Capable of understanding P&ID, PFD, GAD, Plot Plan, Piping layout and Piping isometrics.  Familiar with various Manufacturing, fabrication and welding processes for pipes and its components.  Pipe support, Rack Design and Expansion loop design.  Static analysis of piping systems (Sustained loads, Occasional loads & Expansion loads and modifying designs to conform to the codes and standards.  Familiar with Plot plan, Equipment Layout, Piping Material Specifications, Piping Routing Study, Vessel Nozzle Orientation, Plant Design Review.

I have graduated recently with a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from Vel Tech College of Engineering (Aff to Anna University), Chennai in 2015.I concurrently completed a Master Diploma in Product Design and Analysis at CADD Centre, Chennai in 2015 in order to develop a better understanding of geometric dimensioning and 3D modelling. After which I pursued a Post Graduate Diploma in Oil and Gas Piping Engineering Design and Analysis from ASTS TECHNICAL DIVISION, Bangalore in 2016 order to get a better understanding of the basics involved in piping system design.
