Drilling Rig electrical equipment maintanence

Supervises starting and putting of generators on line for single and parallel operation.
Oversees main power distribution equipment isolation procedures; ensures compliance with the Company Permit to Work System and Electrical Procedures Manual.

Manages restoration of rig power following a loss of generators.
Oversees inspection, cleaning, servicing, adjustments, troubleshooting, and repairs of generators, including control systems and silicon controlled rectifiers (SCRs); performs planned and preventative maintenance. Performs and supervises setting of operational parameters on breakers and transformers; isolates circuits.
Electrical Systems.

Oversees and performs cleaning, inspection, testing, calibration, troubleshooting, and repairs to AC and DC motors and control circuits; performs required planned and preventative maintenance and rotation of motors. Oversees and performs maintenance and repairs to the crane control system, brakes, motors, and electrical systems.
Performs and supervises testing and calibration of alarm systems and sensors, and maintenance of alarm and

Communication systems. Maintains services, troubleshoots, and repairs refrigeration and air conditioning equipment.
General Maintenance Evaluates equipment performance and monitors use; determines and interprets capacities and performance data and selects equipment to be used for maximum efficiency and reliability.
Inspects services, troubleshoots, and repairs equipment in hazardous areas.
Supervises and performs testing and changing of protective equipment settings.

Configures, modifies, and tests electrical equipment; reads and interprets prints, electrical schematics, isometric diagrams, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
Uses technical manuals and reference sources to find information regarding parts, repairs, replacements, operational conditions and procedures, and repair procedures.
Coordinates and implements drills and periodic testing of equipment as required.
