Perform daily system monitoring and diagnosis as required on electron beam semiconductor wafer inspection tool. Troubleshoot and recover tool from both hardware and software failure, determine the root cause and provide feedback to fellow engineers and customer. Maintain tool reliability through preventive maintenance, electron gun lens and aperture monitoring. Perform grey level matching to ensure image is sharp and accurate throughout the different setting conditions used for inspection of customer product. Test hardware controllers and calibrate when needed. Train technicians on tool operation and simple recovery from hardware error. Contact window between customer and support/research team. Travel to remote sites for hardware support and new tool install when needed. On call 24/7.
