Mechanical Engineering position that draws upon my technical expertise and extensive experience in various phases of the projects

· Involved in various fields of mechanical engineering for different static equipment like pressure vessels, column internals, tanks in FEED through Detailing phases.
· Involved in the estimation and scheduling of engineering work deliverables in the project.
· Prepared vessels & internals RFQ, technical bid evaluation, purchase orders and change orders.
· Participated in bid clarifications, Kick-off meetings with vendors and model reviews.
· Coordinated the mechanical engineering between work share offices and home office.
· Designed pressure vessels, storage tanks, columns (tower) and other oilfield equipment in accordance with applicable codes, specifications and industry standards.
· Experienced in the use of international codes such as ASME Sec. VIII Div.1, Sec. II, API 650, API 653, API 579, and ASME B31.3.
· Developed technical procedures in light of Shell DEPs (Design Engineering Practices) and ESTGs (Engineering Standard and Technical Guide).
· Worked on local stress analysis per WRC 107, rigging / lifting analysis of columns, vessels etc.
· Prepared and reviewed the vessel calculations, Local stress evaluation on the vessel for external attachments (e.g. L&P clips, Pipe supports, Pipe guides).
· Reviewed vendor documents. Reviewed columns lifting and transportation calculations from vendors.
· Worked on RFIs to resolve technical issues regarding vessels, internals and specifications / standards.
· Worked on preparation, review and approval activities for mechanical data sheets, P&IDs, engineering work packages (EWP), construction work packages (CWP) for project improvement recommendations.
· Actively worked on Management of Change (MOC) processes.
· Provided technical expertise in mechanical studies, evaluating technical deviations, bid evaluation, resolution of material, construction / fabrication related issues with effective cross discipline coordination.
· Provided technical input for commissioning, start-up and trouble-shooting of downstream upgrader facilities.
· Participated in inspection and factory testing of rotating equipment.
· Experienced on wide range of Stationary equipments including piping systems, heavy wall vessels, underground & aboveground tanks, High pressure and High temperature vessels with refractory lining, packaged equipments and specialty equipments.

· Registered Professional Engineer. Masters in Mechanical engineering.
· 20+ years of strong experience in mechanical engineering including, EPCM, Operating as well as Fabrication companies.
· Expertise in Static equipment – Pressure vessels, Tanks and Heat exchangers.
· Conversant with industry codes ASME, API, CSA, TEMA, etc.
· Experienced in Energy industries including oil & gas, chemical, refinery, petrochemical and Gas projects.
· Excels in fast paced environment; successfully meets critical deadlines.
· Self-motivated, goal orientated, team player with effective communication & interpersonal skills.
