Pore Pressure Analyst - Well Site Geologist

Real Time Pore Pressure and Fracture Gradient surveillance/prediction at the well site. Pre-drill and post-drill analysis. Wellsite Geologist.

Almost 27 years of wellsite experience within major service companies (Geoservices - Schlumberger) in exploration and development drilling operations, in oil and gas fields on any Lithology setting, especially carbonates.From 1989 to 2008 worked as a field engineer, mainly for ENI and occasionally OMV and Maltese Govmt, in various locations onshore and offshore mostly in the South Europe (Mediterranean area). In 2009 as a Wellsite Geologist for Wintershall Libya. From early 2010 to early 2015 worked as Pore Pressure Analyst for major clients in Malaysia (Shell), Azerbaijan (BP),Cameroon (Perenco), Nigeria (Axxis), Cyprus (Noble Energy), Israel (Noble Energy, GGR), Trinidad (Niko Resources) , Ukraine (Shell), Norway (OMV), India (Cairn), Angola (ConocoPhillips, Chevron), in deep to ultra-deep waters and challenging HP environments for high profile projects. As of 2015 resumed working as WSG in Angola on exploration and development wells.

Pore Pressure Analyst’s and Wellsite Geologist’s Tasks and Responsibilities: Geopressure fundamentals - Pore Pressure and Fracture Gradient detection methods- Real Time Pore Pressure and Fracture Gradient analysis/estimation/surveillance - Wellbore stability monitoring - Pre-drill and post-drill PPFG analysis - HPHT procedures and routines in HPHT environments- Supervision and quality control of Mudlogging/MWD-LWD/Directional Drilling personnel,data acquisition, outputs and deliverables -Lithology description of rock samplesand cores, with very good experience on Carbonates -Oil and gas shows reporting -Gas-While-Drilling interpretation – Supervision on collection, labelling and shipment of samples and cores - Picking formation tops and casing/coring points- Well to well correlation by using LWD/wireline log and master log -Capturing photo images of ditch cuttings -Providing real time drilling support and recommendation with respect to safe operating mud weights -Compiling Daily Geological and End-of-Well Reports with pertinent information as per clients formatand specification - QC, analysis and interpretation of well logs(LWD and Wireline) – Mentoring mudlogging trainees and local wellsite geologists - Being a good team player.

Commendable knowledge of GEO software to compile Wellsite lithlog/mudlog.
Good practical knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint software.
