Mechanical Technician

Maintain and repair all mechanical equipment utilised in the FPSO industry.

• Maintain and repair Solar Gas Turbine Generator sets,
• Maintenance and repair on base generator
• Maintain and repair fast rescue craft and lifeboats.
• Maintain and repair Gasco gas Compressors. Also have experience on Ariel gas compressors.
• Service and refurbish pumps for various process systems and engine room applications. This includes centrifugal pumps, gear pumps worm pumps rotor pumps, piston pumps.(Reciprocating and Rotary pumps)
• Do alignment for pumps, motors, gearboxes using laser and dial gauge alignment tools.
• Maintain and repair various diesel engines including Daihatsu, Caterpillar Wartsilla Cummins Deutz ‘
• Maintain and repair Tanabe and Ingersoll rand air compressors.
• Maintain and repair Alva lavel purifiers.
• Maintain and repair Alfa lavel fresh water evaporators.
• Maintain and repair Hydro cyclones, course filters, crude oil coolers and various other Plant systems.
• Maintain and repair Hvac systems on board the FPSO.
• Remove sea water lift pump for inspection and send damaged parts for repair. ( Framo)
• General Engine room and rotating equipment watch keeping, Tank dips, Fuel transfers, bilge pumping, line up and flashing up of boiler and keeping documentation up to date. Assist with commissioning and startup of engine room equipment after black out ESD3 and ESD4.
• Line up and prep steam turbines for cargo offloading.
• Isolate Boiler for tube repair and assisted the vendor during task. On completion, pressure tested boiler for Lloyds certification, de-isolate and flash boiler up.
