Contracts Manager/Engineer working on projects from tendering to commissioning for major sea ports in India, as Deputy Head of Department of Mechanical & Electrical Engineering department, reporting to the Deputy Chairman and Chairman of the port.

In charge of Marine Engineering Section till Feb.2008, consisting of 8 Engineers [Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics] and 6 technical staff. The skills include:
1. Execution of various contracts pertaining to flotilla division, for operation and maintenance of floating crafts. Contract execution and monitoring. Fleet consisted of 3 tugs, 7 launches.
2. Repair contracts for drydocking/ survey of port crafts, including preparation of defect list, enquiry, evaluation and award of work.
3. Supervision of repair works for adhering to time schedules, quantity estimation, bill verification and certification etc.
4. Procurement of spares/ materials required for port craft, including sourcing, indigenization etc.
5. Execution of contracts for hiring of pilot boats, security patrolling boats, tugs etc.
6. Execution of contracts for maintenance of navigational buoys.
7. Task force member for implementation of ISO 9001, 14001, 27001 (ISMS) and OHSAS 18001 in Department. (Quality, environment, information security and HSE standards)
8.Maintenance of navigational buoys and transit lights. Acquisition of new buoys and lights through tendering.
9.Contracts for providing reception facilities to ships calling at the port under MARPOL for Annex.I & V wastes. Development of conceptual plan and execution for reception facilities for other wastes (Annex. II,III,IV & VI).
10.Preparation of Port Waste Management Plan and monitoring implementation.

**From 15 June 2015 to till date, Deputy Chief Mechanical Engineer in Deendayal Port Trust, Kandla (formerly known as Kandla Port Trust), Gujarat India.

As the Deputy Head of Department, entire functions of Mechanical Engineering Department viz. Mechanical Division comprising of Floating crafts section, Salvage & Navigational Aids section, Workshop, Autogarage, Drydock Division, Tugs Division, Electrical Division, Materials/ Stores Division are looked after.
