Professional Experience
Welding Supervisor/Project Supervisor.
Duties included but not limited to:
• Supervises and direct activities of hull workers by performing the following duties: Responsible for safety, quality, schedule and budget of all assigned work.
• Directly supervises ship fitter and welder work on assigned projects to insure and verify conformance to specification. Directs the welding of metal parts, such as plate and structural shapes as specified in welding symbols by layout, work order, blue prints or verbal instructions. Directs the set up and operation of welding equipment and selection of proper electrode according to metals to be joined.
• Performed unit alignment using accuracy control methods and tools. Assists in handing and regulation heavy steel assemblies and components. Preforms blocking and shoring of steel assemblies and units.
maintain schedules and adhere to budget on assigned projects. Generate estimates for steel machinist related work. Communicates and passes specifications, blue prints, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties.
• Conducting scope of work of Gauging reports, setting up Gaugers for tank mapping. All phases of installation and modifications.
• Installation and modification of new equipment to including commissioning and start-up of said equipment
• Responsible for conducting and implementation of structural and hull repairs in a timely manner and mostly under budget.
• Responsible of scheduling ABS Surveys for hull repairs.
• Reporting results to Senior management
• Served on frequent visits for audits on oil rigs and preformed repairs as needed
• Performed safety duties on various projects to include construction work operations
• Preparing material list, services and preforming take-offs
• Complies with and implements company policies to enforce safety and environmental regulations.
