Professional Experience

Analyzing project QA/QC scope & inspection requirements as per contractor’s approved project quality plan (PQP) & inspection test plan (ITP).
Review of PQP & ITP on regular basis to update to meet the requirements of clients.
Review of all documents, drawings and scope of works related to fabrication and inspection.
On jobs strictly follow QCP & ITP to ensure good quality of works and hence avoid any sort of violation.
Incoming materials receiving inspection as per client material system specification. If materials found unacceptable as per specification and international standards, it is informed to responsible engineers to take necessary action to procure correct materials. Materials inspected include pipes, tubes, fittings, valves, flanges, plate & sheets of different grades of CS, SS, and Low alloy steel, DSS, HSLA and other alloys.
Preparation and review of WPS for welding of similar & dissimilar materials and conducting PQR to qualify the procedure.
WPS & PQR together are sent to client for approval before starting any production welding.
Conducting welder qualification test as per WPS to produce quality welds.
Review and Interpretation of RT results & other NDE (S) of production welds.
Witness & Review of PMI, Corrosion test and Ferrite measurement test for SS & DSS materials.
Preparation of Hydrotest & Pneumatic test packages for different line class as per procedure.
Prior to hydro testing, punch list items noted and cleared.
After completion of hydrotesting , coating and painting are started as per coating procedures.
Prior to coating application, surfaces are cleaned to remove all scales, rusts, debris etc. by abrasive blast cleaning. Surfaces are inspected for degree of cleanliness and roughness as per ISO standard for white metal blast cleaning(Sa 3) or near white metal blast cleaning ( Sa 2 ˝).Degree of roughness is measured by Dial micrometer .
After inspection and acceptance of blasting, coating applications are carried out and after drying of coating, DFT measured to check the thickness of coatings as per required client specifications.
