I have in excess of 37 years Post Graduate experience in both Engineering and Project Management gained in the Mining, Metallurgical Base Metal, Airports, Aviation and Oil and Gas (Midstream and Downstream ) on EPCM LSTK Projects with both FIDIC and NEC exposure. This experience incorporates Project Life Cycle phases (Tendering, engineering, procurement, construction, operations and maintenance) using Primavera or MSP planning software, primarily based in SA but with extensive International experience (Africa, MENA, USA, Canada, UK & Europe). More than 8 years Middle East Project Management & Construction experience with global players and Consultants (GE, Bechtel, SNC Lavalin, Burns and McDonnell, Argus Consulting, Mott Macdonald) gained in Doha (Qatar), Dubai (UAE), Abu Dhabi (UAE), Surlaymaniah (Iraq). Currently reporting to the Technical Director and responsible for the Project Execution and the EPCM Office, in Dubai prior to the Construction of the Plant in Iraq.
I have demonstrated an ability to work proactively and independently, in order to meet complex Project SOW deadlines in terms of SHE, Risk, Time, Cost and Quality. I have major experience in setting up and leading, multi discipline, multi-cultural work forces, often undertaken in extremely difficult situations and far from home base.
I am a proactive, versatile, dynamic, Graduate Mechanical Engineer, Professional Engineer, Professional Construction Project Manager and able to mobilise quickly locally or for International deployment on an EU or SA Passport.
