Professional Experience
Began my working life in the shipyards on the river Tyne, UK. After serving my apprenticeship, I worked for a few years to gain experience. I then gained employment with various fabrication and construction companies, carrying out sitework in various locations, starting with Dubai (UAE), and then on various sites throughout the UK. In late 1989, I began working in the oil and gas industry on north sea installations, where I started as a pipefitter, then worked my way up through the ranks; of foreman, supervisor, superintendent and finally as construction manager. I have worked as construction manager since 2004, both on offshore installations and onshore gas plants.
