Petroleum chemical Laboratory Analyst

Seeking a Petroleum laboratory analyst position in any GTL or Crude Oil refinery in UAE.

Commanded respect through own knowledge of plants, lab practices and analytical procedure methods. I can identify and report deviations and comparisons with quality standards, diagnosis of root causes for deviations, and the basic maintenance, repair and calibration of laboratory equipment. Fully computer literate. Good knowledge of the ISO 14001 and ISO 9002/ISO17025 quality control procedures. Competent in the Distillations-, Inorganic-, and Black product laboratories. Instrument knowledge consisting of: XRF, ICP, Antek, Herzog Distillations, Spectrophotometer, AA, PH meter, conductivity meter, Metrohm titration’s, -water detection’s and CFPP and Anton Paar density meters.
Perform laboratory tests to determine chemical and physical characteristics or composition of solid, liquid or gaseous materials for such purposes as quality control, process control or product development by performing the following duties. Operates laboratory equipment and instruments such as microscopes, centrifuge, agitators, viscometer, chemical balance scales, spectrophotometer, colorimeter.Testing of refinery samples and final products for qualities as purity, stability, viscosity, density, absorption and melting or flash point. Tests materials for presence and content of elements or substances such as hydrocarbons, manganese, sulfur, ash or impurities. Tests samples of plant or final products to verify conformity to specifications. Calibrates laboratory instruments.Prepares chemical solutions according to standard formulas. Adds chemicals or raw materials to process solutions or products batches to correct or establish formulation required to meet specifications. Understands customer requirements and organizes lab procedures, schedules and staffing to provide for meeting and exceeding those requirements.
Supports the ISO certificate(s) and assists in the corrective/preventive actions process.Works a rotating schedule including weekends, holidays and on an on-call basis.Behaves ethically at all times; maintains open communication with Lab Manager.Carries out all responsibilities in a supportive manner with total adherence to: The Company’s Health, Safety and Environmental Policies and Procedures; Business Management System; Compliance and Ethics Policies; and exercises good judgment, common sense, and diplomacy.
