Resident Engineer, Construction Manager, Senior Civil Engineer, Senior Civil Supervision Engineer (Structural and Finishes)

I've been in the construction industry for over fifteen years to date. During my career in the construction industry, I gained experience in various sectors of the civil engineering field, such as oil and gas facility construction, building construction and consultation, road construction and consultation, and the design of roads and buildings. Furthermore, I am eligible for the international professional engineer category (Int P.Eng.) in the Institution of Engineers Sri Lanka, which is equivalent to the professional engineer category in the international construction industry.
In addition to the above, I gained very good experience in the field of Oil and Gas facility development in Al-Sharara oil field in Libya for two years. I am used to working under pressure situations and in harsh weather conditions. During my time in the oil fields, I gained valuable experience working with multinational Oil & Gas companies such as J&P (O) Ltd, Akakus Oil Operation, Mellitah oil operation and Bonatti in Libya.
I couldn't return to Libya due to the complicated situation in 2011, so I settled in Sri Lanka. Following that, I worked as a senior civil engineer for the Central Engineering Consultancy Bureau on a road consultancy project for the Road Development Authority of Sri Lanka. During that period, I gained a very good understanding of general public relations during public projects and how to manage the budget and progress control as the engineer for the contract. Moreover, I gained very good experience in project management under the guidance of very good senior engineering staff. During my time with CECB, I obtained a Chartered Civil Engineer certification in 2016.
After, I joined civil & structural Engineering Consultant (Pvt) Ltd as a resident Engineer to “The One “mix development project (Three high-rise towers with Ritz Calton & JW Marriott hotels and apartments) in Colombo. Later in 2020 company promoted me as the General Manager for the CSEC and served on many projects as a structural / Project Management consultant.
During my career, I have learned to communicate effectively and efficiently both in writing and orally through presentations. I am extremely detail-oriented, and my ability to anticipate potential problems and devise proactive solutions has always been praised.

• 2002-2007 - BSc Engineering Degree under the specializing field of Civil Engineering with Second Class Honors (lower division - 3.3>S.C. L>2.7) GPA 3.2 (out of 4), Which effect from 2nd Feb 2007 in Faculty of Engineering, University of Peradeniya.

• Member of Institute of Engineers Sri Lanka (IESL M: 7133-Charted Civil Engineer).
• Member Association of Consulting Engineers Sri Lanka (ACESL M:222)
• Member of Engineer Council Sri Lanka.
• Applied for Int.P.Eng through the Institute of Engineers Sri Lanka.
