Preparation of Synthetic Oil Based Mud, Water Based Mud, CaCl2, KCL and NaCl Brines as per the standard procedures.
Testing of the SOBM, WBM and Completion fluids, tests like Drilling Fluid Weight, Funnel Viscosity, Rheology with Fan viscometer (PV, YP & Gels Readings), Alkalinity, Salinity, Chlorides, HTHP, Retort analysis, Emulsion stability, Turbidity, Ph, Pf, Mf, Total hardness, MBT(Methylene Blue Test), KCl Test, Glycol % etc.
Preparation of lab pilot trials with new chemicals to ensure the quality of the chemicals.
Testing of crude oil for its API density during testing of the wells.
Pumping the prepared Mud, Brine & Base Oil to the OSV without any contamination and spillage and receiving back load chemicals from OSV.
Building and maintaining fluids on rig site (Both SOBM & WBM).
Responsible for maintaining fluid properties on rig sites by accurately testing the properties of the fluids, according to A.P.I. Standards.
Supervising the operation of fluid Mixing and Pumping.
Respond to variation in Drilling Fluid parameters in a timely manner. Recommending and coordinating the necessary treatments for fluid maintenance within the desired parameters.
Conduct pilot tests for unusual Drilling Fluid treatments at well site.
Data interpreting and preparation of reports.
Monitor Drilling Fluid consumption and respond to down hole Drilling Fluid losses on a timely manner.
