EU Delegation to Visit Egypt

The EU promised to send a delegation to end the crisis of stopping of Egyptian agricultural products export at the end of August 2011, said the head of exporters division in the general federation of commerce chamber, Ali Issa.

Issa said the big export season in Egypt starts in October. Egyptian officials aim to speed up negotiations in order to prevent losses for Egyptian exporters.

Issa added the EU will send technical questions to be answered in Egypt in order to reduce time of the visit. An observer from the World Health Organization will attend the meeting.

"If negotiations fail, Egypt will recourse to the court," said Issa. Issa also said Egypt will discuss the case with the European counsel to handle the case in negotiation or at the court.
