Prime Minister Essam Sharaf received on 6/9/2011 the newly appointed British Ambassador in Cairo James Watt. Cabinet spokesman Mohamed Hegazi said that Sharaf expressed appreciation of Britain's support to Egypt since the outbreak of the revolution, pointing out that Britain tops foreign investors in Egypt with investments hitting $20 billion.
Sharaf also received the Canadian Ambassador in Cairo Ferry de Kerckhove on the occasion of the end of his term in Egypt. Sharaf said Egypt and Canada have good relations, noting that Egypt is looking forward to an increase in Canadian investments. The Egyptian government is ready to provide the Canadian companies any incentives or guarantees to lure more investments to the Egyptian market, Sharaf added.
