Younis: Regulations to Prevent Abuse of Nuclear Energy

Electricity Minister Hassan Younis reiterated Egypt’s keenness on adopting nuclear safety measures. This came during the events of the IAEA 55th annual conference held in Vienna. Egypt stressed the necessity of setting standards that prevent abuse of nuclear energy and the application of international rules to ensure reduction of mass destruction weapons especially in the Middle East, younis added. Younis said Egypt considers that IAEA credibility is correlated to dealing seriously with eliminating nuclear weapons from the Middle East.
