The Egyptian petroleum sector increases its exports of high quality petroleum products to the US and European markets through Midor and AMOC companies.
Midor exports from jet fuel, high-octane fuel. and petroleum coke was around 2.2 million tons in 2004 reaching a value of USD 709 million. Target markets for Midor are UK, Lebanon, USA, Emirates, Australia, Italy, Turkey, Cyprus, France, the Netherlands, Nigeria and Spain. Midor net profit had reached USD 92 million in 2004 compared with USD 8.8 million in 2003. The total sales of AMOC from mineral oil, diesel, naphtha, sulphur, and other petroleum products was 1.5 million tons during 2004/2005 reaching a value of L.E. 2.7 billion and a net profit of L.E. 517.5 million. Exports of AMOC from mazot during 2005 were around 871,000 tons with a value of USD 186 million. |
