Dubai Chamber Ready to Send Trade Mission to CES

Preparations are on full steam at the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry to facilitate the departure of a trade mission to the annual Consumer Electronics Show to be held in the US state of Las Vegas from January 10-13, 2012. This second trade mission organised within a span of a year is much looked forward to by Dubai’s business community. The four decades old Consumer Electronics Show attracts over 2,700 international exhibitors representing various global electronics companies from 140 countries as well as 140,000 participants and reaches across global markets, hence offers additional opportunities for Dubai companies to meet with key industry decision-makers and develop their business overseas.

The Dubai delegation is headed by H.E. Abdul Rahman Saif Al Ghurair, Chairman, and also includes H.E. Hisham Al Shirawi, 2nd Vice Chairman, and H.E. Hamad Buamim, Director General, Dubai Chamber. The delegation consists of members of Dubai’s business community from various economic sectors, mostly from the electronics and consumer goods market. One of the largest in the world, this annual consumer technology tradeshow hosts previews and launch of new products and conferences, and offers networking opportunities with key industry peers on the sidelines of the expo. It allows companies to make contact with major global manufacturers and suppliers of technology and learn more about the latest developments in business IT solutions.

The trade mission, which is organised as part of Dubai Chamber’s objectives to support the development of business and to promote the city as an international business hub, provides the delegates an opportunity to attend the conferences and business networking meetings held on the sidelines of the exhibition which will help them keep pace with latest technologies and open new horizons of cooperation with global players. The Dubai Chamber trade mission is organised in cooperation with the UAE Embassy in the US, the US Commercial Service, the US-UAE Business Council, the Consumer Electronic Association, and the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce.
