Head of the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces (SCAF) Field Marshal Hussein Tantawi met on 11/1/2012 with US Deputy Secretary of State William Burns along with his accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the latest developments in the regional and international arenas as well as ways to extend support to Egypt during the coming phase. The meeting also took up the latest developments in the democratic transitional phase in Egypt as well as the work of the NGOs in the Egyptian society. Burns also hailed the parliamentary elections which were held in Egypt. |
