Dr Ganzouri received on Monday 16/1/2012 IMF mission, headed by the executive director and representive of Egypt to the IMF Dr Abdul Shakoor Shalaan with the presence of Planning and International Cooperation Minister Fayza Abul Naga.
Planning and International Cooperation Minister Fayza Abul-Naga affirmed that Egypt negotiate with the International Monetary Fund IMF on purely Egyptian program prepared by the government aimed at pushing forward the wheel of production and providing more job opportunities as well as restoring the confidence in the Egyptian economy as well as reducing the deficit in the state budget. The government had been working on this program since last April and May.
Abul-Naga added following the meeting by Prime Minister Kamal Al-Ganzouri with the IMF team that negotiations with IMF included means to support the Egyptian economic reform program amidst the present critical circumstances. She added we talked about Egypt's receiving of a $ 3.2 billion loan to help the government carry out its program and to limit down the deficit in the state budget and the balance of payment which reached $16 billion and for carrying out an economic program centering on creating better living conditions.
