Ambassador Mohammad Hegazi, the Assistant Foreign Minister for Asian Affairs said on 24/02/2012 that the Egyptian-India joint ministerial committee, led by Foreign Minister Mohamed Kamel Amr and his Indian counterpart S. M. Krishna will hold meetings of its new session in Cairo on March 3.
Hegazy pointed out that the committee will discuss issues of mutual concern including means to increase trade exchange between the two countries, which reaches nearly USD three billion. Ambassador Hegazy stressed that the volume of Indian investments in Egypt amounts to nearly USD 500 million in the IT sector. He also referred to the scientific cooperation between the Egyptian and Indian universities. |
