Indian Foreign Minister during his visit to Egypt today: we are continuing our support to Egypt during the transitional phase. The first visit of the Indian Minister of Foreign Affairs” Shri S. M. Krishna” to Cairo after the Egyptian revolution is very important at this time, which reflects the strong support of India to Egypt which is clear in the increasing of Indian investments in Egypt amount to about $ 2.5 billion U.S., providing about 30 thousand jobs in Egypt and that India did not withdraw any Indian investments from Egypt after the revolution of Jan. 25. The Foreign Minister pointed out that India continues its support for Egypt during the next period.
He added that there had been 45 joint venture in Egypt with investments of Indian $ 2.5 billion. And provided such investments, about 30 thousand jobs in Egypt. And that there is no Indian company had to withdraw their investments. But an Indian company began its work in Egypt after the Egyptian revolution which is a plant at “Ain Sukhna” zone, which added an Indian investment of $ 160 million.
