Prime Minister, Dr. Kamal Al-Ganzoury, received the Libyan Minister of Labour Mustafa Al-Regbany, in attendance of the Minister of Manpower and Migration. Al-Regbany confirmed that he gives priority to Egyptian workers in the Libyan labor market due to experiences and skills enjoyed.
It was agreed on activating the electronic linkage agreement concerning Egyptian and Libyan workers so that the Egyptian workers can obtain contracts from the Egyptian manpower ministry to guarantee their legal rights and prevent illegal migration. He stated that it was agreed on facilitating all contracting procedures for Egyptian workers with the Libyan labor offices, along to setting procedures to facilitate granting them visas. It is worth noting that training courses will be carried by the Manpower Ministry to train Libyan technicians in the Egyptian specialized institutions to help gaining experiences and rehabilitate them for working in the construction and development projects within the Libyan transitional phase. The Libyan Labour Ministry is currently reviewing procedures required to guarantee Egyptian workers rights in cooperation with the Egyptian Manpower Ministry. The Egyptian Minister said that it was agreed by the Libyan side to prevent illegal migration, as well as protecting Egyptian workers' rights therein. He added that there are continuous contacts and talks with the Libyan side to set a main compatibility draft guaranteeing rights of Egyptian workers and providing facilities required for Egyptians to enter the Libyan market. |
