H.R.H. Prince Ahmad bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Interior Minister, received in his office on behalf of H.R.H. Crown Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Deputy Premier and Interior Minister, H.E. Mohammed Sulaiman Al-Rawood, Interior Minister of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. They held talks on the close relationships between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and also exchanged cordial talks on joint work of the interior ministries of the two countries. After that, a co-operation agreement on the transfer of persons sentenced to penalties depriving of freedom of the citizens of both parties was signed by and between the two countries. The agreement aims for social and psychological rehabilitation of the convicts.
At the end of the meeting, the deputy interior minister hosted a dinner banquet in honour of the minister of interior of Jordan and his accompanying delegation, attended by Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh region, Prince Mohammed bin Saad bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of Riyadh region, and senior officials in the Ministry. Attending the signing ceremony were a number of princes and senior officials of the ministry, whereas attending the signing on the Jordanian side were the ambassador of the Kingdom of Jordan to Saudi Arabia Jamal Al-Shamaylah and the delegation accompanying the interior minister. Earlier last night, the minister of interior of Jordan and an accompanying delegation arrived in Riyadh. Receiving him at King Khalid international airport were the MOI undersecretary Dr. Ahmad bin Mohammed al-Salim, and the director of Interior Minister Office for Studies and Research Major General Saud bin Salih al-Dawood.
