Prime Minister Awn Khasawneh received Saudi Social Development Minister Yousef Bin Ahmad Al Ithemeen, who is currently on a visit to the Kingdom to discuss bilateral cooperation and look into Jordan's expertise in the social development field. The prime minister highlighted the need to boost cooperation in the social work domain, pointing to Jordan's distinguished expertise in moving from aid grants to creating job opportunities for the underprivileged and focusing on productivity projects.
Khasawneh valued the strong ties between Jordan and Saudi Arabia, adding that youth in both countries constitute more than 65 percent of the population. He also highlighted the important role played by the state to achieve justice and create social security networks for segments of the society that need that. The Saudi minister reviewed his country's experience in creating the social charity fund that aims at rehabilitating and creating job opportunities for Saudis.
