His Majesty King Abdullah II on met with Chief of Staff of the Qatari Armed Forces Major General Hamad bin Ali al- Attiyah who conveyed to the King greetings of the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani. Talks during the meeting, attended by Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Lieutenant-General Mashal Mohammed Zaben, dealt with means of boosting bilateral ties and issues of common interest. The King bestowed upon Maj. Gen. al- Attiyah the Military Merit Medal of the First Order.
