Australian Governor General Quentin Bryce received at the Government House in Canberra the credentials of HE Qatar's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Australia Yusuf bin Ali Al Khater. At the outset of the meeting, HE the Ambassador conveyed the greetings of H.H. the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani to the Governor-General and his wishes of further progress and prosperity to the Australian people. For her part, the Governor-General entrusted HE the Qatari Ambassador with his greetings to H.H. the Emir wishing to the State of Qatar further progress and prosperity. During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral relations and ways of developing and strengthening them for the interest of the two countries' peoples.
